SHOP ASSISTANT JOB
Job Responsibilities
- Provide general assistance around the shop, including administrative and technical tasks
- Make Water Softener Salt and Water Deliveries.
- Valid DOT and Chauffeurs License will be needed for this position
- Assist with monthly inventory of stock
- Load and unload equipment and stock from delivery trucks
- Bring product out to the front of the store and return to storage at days end
- Clean and maintain equipment and company vehicles as needed
- Assist the service manager in getting equipment ready for the next day
- Load bottled water and 40 or 50 lb. bags of salt into customer vehicles
- Assist in keeping the shop and office areas clean
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years technical experience in general plumbing repairs and installation required
- Minimum one-year water treatment equipment installation experience preferable
- Must be able to work overtime and rotate Saturdays
- Aptitude for mechanics
- Familiarity with hand tools
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Capacity to analyze a situation and prioritize tasks
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy loads up and downstairs
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must have a neat appearance
